Created as part of three mirror works for my exhibition titled 'Ake, ake, ake'. The mirror is reflected on to the mirror pane creating a 'black hole' effect - sending the viewer to the heavens, where time has no end. 'Ake, ake, ake'.
 
Pulling influence from the logo for Te Taura Whiri - Kia Kaha Te Reo Maori. "The tongue represents the elements of revitilisation (status, critical awareness, acquisition, use and corpus) and revitilisation of te reo maori".
